2006 Cuvee 7
Napa Valley
Lance Armstrong takes his love of wine seriously, combining forces with Randy of Lewis Cellars to create the second vintage of "Cuvee 7" - a 100% Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon named for Lance's historic 7 Tour de France wins.
4 barrels were made, producing 90 cases. Aged in 100% new French oak, the wine is packed in 3-bottle, black piano finish wooden boxes, signed by Lance and Randy with profits going to The Lance Armstrong Foundation.
Randy met Lance at the 2001 Tour de France, and Europe is where he started his own 23-year professional auto-racing career, including five Indy 500's. Lance comes to Napa often to enjoy the wine country, cycle in the valley, and select the final Cuvee 7 blend. Cycling is Randy's number one sport and he will be riding in the Pyrenees during the 2010 Tour de France this July.
