Graceful as a dancer, commanding as a panther, our 2023 Reserve Cabernet exudes classic varietal character. Opening with cigar box and baker’s chocolate aromas, the wine is fruitful and focused with black currant and blueberry notes. The palate is finely structured with poise that gives way to a feline power with very fine-grained tannins.

The 2023 growing season was one of the longest of the past decade. Marked by a long stretch of mild and consistently sunny weather, this extended season promoted even ripening with a unique complexity specific to the vintage. Our team waited to begin harvesting until the end of September and picked our last fruit in the second week of November, providing prolonged hang time for the grapes to develop maximal flavors.

Winemaker Notes

For our Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon, we craft a more classic Cabernet style with firmer tannins and lush red fruit. We select each barrel by hand, focusing on those that stand out for their refined structure. The result is a Cabernet that is well anchored with enduring character each year. We are honored that Wine Spectator named our 2013 vintage their No. 1 Wine of the Year in 2016. This wine was formerly named Napa Cabernet Sauvignon.
