Our 2023 Syrah is stunning, with vivid color and a coiled spring of concentrated fruit notes. It opens with a massive aromatic range from melted blackberry, pancetta, and violet – to white pepper, white chocolate, and oak spice surround-sound. Deeply concentrated and impossibly plush, there’s also great muscle and definition in this wine.

The 2023 growing season was one of the longest of the past decade. Marked by a long stretch of mild and consistently sunny weather, this extended season promoted even ripening with a unique complexity specific to the vintage. Our team waited to begin harvesting until the end of September and picked our last fruit in the second week of November, providing prolonged hang time for the grapes to develop maximal flavors.

Winemaker Notes

With our Syrah, we aim to create a wine that cannot be ignored – or forgotten. Powerful, sexy, and mysterious, this wine makes a lasting impression. This barrel-selected, 100% Syrah is deeply saturated in color with intensely concentrated flavors. We let our grapes hang notably long to achieve maximum ripeness, and meticulously select barrels from our finest blocks.
