Gorgeously dressed and subtly perfumed, our 2023 Grand Cuvée is a head-turner. Woven with notes of blackberry, currants, anise, and chocolate espresso bean it exudes a very pretty and appealing nose. Confident, with seamless texture and brilliant structure, the wine also wears fabulous blue suede shoe tannins.

The 2023 growing season was one of the longest of the past decade. Marked by a long stretch of mild and consistently sunny weather, this extended season promoted even ripening with a unique complexity specific to the vintage. Our team waited to begin harvesting until the end of September and picked our last fruit in the second week of November, providing prolonged hang time for the grapes to develop maximal flavors.

Winemaker Notes

With our Grand Cuvée Cabernet Sauvignon, we crafted a wine that commands attention - bold, powerful, and unapologetically expressive. This is a Cabernet with serious muscle, delivering a dense, concentrated profile with layers of intensity. The tannins are firm and structured, giving it a commanding presence and character that pushes beyond the boundaries of a classic Napa Cab. Designed to evolve beautifully with time, this wine reaches its peak after a few years in the bottle.
