With its vibrant color and redolent blueberry crumble-top pie aromas, plus a hint of cinnamon and café mocha notes, there’s serious fun factor in every bottle of 2023 The Big Blend produced from syrah, merlot, and petite sirah grapes. Opening with a wide band of brilliant, creamy textured fruit notes, the wine is also very toned and youthful.

The 2023 growing season was one of the longest of the past decade. Marked by a long stretch of mild and consistently sunny weather, this extended season promoted even ripening with a unique complexity specific to the vintage. Our team waited to begin harvesting until the end of September and picked our last fruit in the second week of November, providing prolonged hang time for the grapes to develop maximal flavors.

As the name implies, The Big Blend is bold and spirited. We strive to deliver a truly memorable explosion of flavors – a wine that feels energetic and alive. This is the only wine in our portfolio that sees both American and French oak, which each enhances the rich character and complexity of the wine. Always anchored by a backbone of Syrah, The Big Blend is distinctive with each vintage.
